How to use:
- Remove cap from radiator or expansion/header tank.
- Shake bottle well for at least 30 seconds & add directly to the radiator or expansion/header tank. Replace cap. (If product is added to header/expansion tank, longer running time may be needed to introduce product into system & seal the leak)
- Ensure the heater is on and run the engine at idle. When the engine reaches operating temperature, the leak will stop within a few minutes. This may take slightly longer if the product is added to the header/expansion tank.
- With engine off & cool check the cooling system is full. Top up accordingly with coolant/antifreeze.

No as the product is insoluble in oil. This could cause the formation of a jelly and potentially block your engine. If the product is accidentally poured into the oil, the vehicle needs to be drained of oil immediately without switching the vehicle on, before flushing through the system multiple times and refilling with fresh oil. It would also be advisable to get the vehicle to a mechanic without running it.
There are several differences between the 2 products, Holts Radweld Plus and Holts SEALit. Firstly, they have been developed for slightly different markets, with Holts Radweld Plus aimed at retail customers who can use the product at home, whereas Holts SEALit is for the professional retail channel. However, the formulations are significantly different, with Holts SEALit being the latest development in Holts cooling system repair product portfolio. Holts SEALit has been developed to provide a permanent repair to the cooling system.
An entire bottle of SEALit treats cooling systems up to 21L in size. If your vehicle has a cooling system capacity of 7L or less, then only half a bottle should be used.
